career!The TeamWorkplace Consulting is a group within Fidelity's
Workplace Investing built to serve and partner with Fidelity's
strategic external clients on their data and technology needs. The
Client Technology Team's dynamic and diverse skillsets are
leveraged to complete sophisticated and exciting projects in
partnership with both internal and external partners.We design and
build customized solutions to address unique scenarios on behalf of
clients. We extract data from a variety of sources (WIDE database
schema, client feeds/files, etc), transform the data to aggregate,
translate or apply calculations, then output the results to Client
files, Mainframe SCF files or databases. You will wear several hats
working to develop, complete unit testing, adopt new technologies
to improve existing processes all while analyzing outputs for
accuracy and alignment to requirements.As a whole, we engage across
Workplace Consulting in data quality improvement efforts that span
single and multiple product lines (i.e. Health and Welfare, Defined
Benefit, Defined Contribution, Stock Plan Services and
HR/Payroll).We are seeking an experienced Defined Benefits
Technical Consultant, however, there will be opportunities to grow
your knowledge and gain exposure working with the other WI
products!The Expertise You Have
- Extensive Defined Benefit product knowledge
- Knowledge of Fidelity backend product tables (DBR1)
- Experience working with relational databases
- Expertise with SQL
- An ability to refine high level business requirements to their
technical detailsThe Skills You Bring
- You are comfortable working with data and databases, including
design considerations
- Your familiarity building and editing ETL workflows using
Informatica
- Your Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, Access,
and Outlook
- Your analytical and problem solving skills are a key
strength
- A willingness to find uncommon solutions to complex
problems
- You work well in teams and collaborate with others to solve
problems using your strong verbal and written communication
skills
- You are modest enough to ask for assistance and relentless in
your approach to work through ambiguous project requirements
- You take pride in taking ownership of deliverables and
completing them with quality and efficiency

to provide custom solutions to your clients' challenges.
- Working with consultants across Data, Healthcare, Retirement,
Communications and Administration consulting practices on a wide
variety of projects, you will be developing and maintaining
