Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Registered Nurse with operating room experience is needed to support a busy surgical team in High Point, NC. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work in a well-equipped, teaching hospital setting performing a wide range of adult surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Provide circulating nursing care in various OR specialties including Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Cardiovascular, Urology, Gynecology, General Surgery, Emergency General Surgery, and Robotics. - Assist in CVOR cases such as CABG, AVR, MVR, and Aorta repairs (limited volume). - Collaborate with the surgical team, including residents and perioperative educators, ensuring patient safety and quality care. - Utilize advanced technology such as the Da Vinci XI robotic system and Stryker equipment. - Participate in weekend rotations and CVOR call coverage with prompt response. - Occasionally float to another nearby medical campus as needed. Qualifications & Experience: - Current RN license with minimum 2 years of hospital-based OR experience. - Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required. - Competent in circulator roles, handling adult patients primarily (limited pediatric population). - Comfortable with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC. - Ability to work well in an inclusive, open, and friendly department culture. Scheduling: - Shift lengths range from 8, 10, to 12 hours based on unit needs. - Weekend rotation every other weekend. - Call required for CVOR cases only, no weekend or holiday call, holiday shifts at about 75% coverage.
