Located in Wilson, NC, this contracting opportunity is ideal for an experienced cath lab imaging technologist skilled in supporting cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. This role focuses on assisting physicians during heart-related diagnostic and interventional radiographic imaging, requiring precision and expertise in equipment operation and patient care within a high-paced cath lab environment. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and control radiographic equipment to capture high-quality digital images of cardiac and peripheral structures. - Adjust x-ray settings to optimize image quality while practicing stringent radiation safety protocols. - Prepare procedure rooms daily, perform quality control checks, and maintain inventory in compliance with healthcare regulations. - Support physicians by anticipating needs, monitoring patient condition, and contributing effectively during procedures. - Document patient data accurately within various reporting systems and ensure billing and reporting accuracy. - Manage maintenance and troubleshooting of cardiac cath lab devices including IVUS, ICE, and HeartLab systems. - Maintain sterile techniques and prepare patients for procedures, including device insertion and drug administration under physician supervision. - May provide training and work assignment guidance to other staff members in the lab.
