Job Description:

The Clorox Company is looking for an experienced Principal Enterprise Architect to lead our enterprise architecture practice. This is a highly visible role, as it requires collaboration with key business stakeholders across the organization including R&D, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Manufacturing. This role will also engage key stakeholders across supporting functions including IT, Finance, HR, and Security. This role will work cross-functionally to continue to develop our enterprise architecture practice in support of our digital transformation towards a Consumer Experience (CX) company.

The Principal Enterprise Architect will be responsible for aligning business and technology strategy that satisfies all enterprise architecture requirements through alignment of enterprise business capabilities, application/systems, information/data, and technology that also adheres to governance strategies, policies, and standards.

Provide thought leadership, and act as the trusted technical advisor to the business and technology leadership team with an in-depth understanding of business, technical directions, and emerging ERP technology trends.

Key responsibilities:

  • Influence ERP strategy: By partnering with business units' leadership, and through the rationalization of business capabilities, the enterprise architect will provide strategic recommendations to maximize the value of ERP capabilities
  • Surface ERP priority: Provide key insights on prioritized ERP capabilities through agnostic business capability lens driven by business units' strategy
  • Enhance decision making: Leverage business information models to provide organization with a target-state view of ERP landscape that is unencumbered by specific ERP implementation details imposed by proprietary solutions or technologies. Assists in decision design.
  • Enable ERP management: Ensure enterprise architecture lens is leveraged to filter, identify, prioritize and execute initiatives with a clear line of sight to enterprise strategies and business outcomes
  • Demonstrated mastery of ERP suites of tools such as SAP R/3, S/4 HANA etc. Candidate will help create a platform that enables our Digital Supply Network (DSN) transformation at Clorox. You will work alongside the senior architects and key business stakeholders to ensure maximum return on technology investments
  • A passion for transformation enabled through capabilities, process optimization and digital core platforms that empower business agility and growth. You will be expected to interact with customers on a regular basis, take individual responsibility for features (from customer contact to final delivery), work with senior members on enterprise efforts, and take part in continuously improving our product and company

    Years and Type of Experience:

    • A minimum of 15+ years of experience in IT
    • 7+ years' experience as an ERP Enterprise Architect across finance and supply chain domains.
    • 5+ years of recent SAP ERP experience, and at least one large SAP S/4HANA Finance and Supply Chain implementation
    • 5 + years of experience in following end-to-end scenarios: Forecast-to-Stock, Manufacturing Execution, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report
    • 5+ years of experience in Functional SAP ERP Modules related to finance, supply chain and manufacturing
    • 3+ years of experience in leading end-to-end solutions from ideation to deployment
    • 2+ years of webservice and API integration experience leveraging iDocs, SOAP and/or RESTful AP
    • 2+ years of experience in data integration in one of following tools e.g. SnapLogic, Mulesoft, TIBCO, Fusion, Talend, or Informatica

      Skills and Abilities:

      • Considerable experience and success as an ERP architect in a complex global environment. Experience in the following Functional SAP ERP Modules:Experience with distributed computing and big data analytics in public cloud and hybrid environments
      • Production Planning (SAP PP)
      • Material Management (SAP MM)
      • Financial Supply Chain Management (SAP FSCM)
      • Sales and Distribution (SAP SD)
      • Financial Accounting and Controlling (SAP FICO)
      • Quality Management (SAP QM)
      • Exposure to various aspects of architecture practices: business, application, data, security, infrastructure, and governance
      • Consistent record of driving and leading large-scale, enterprise architectural projects from ideation through to execution
      • Effective conceptualization, pattern recognition, and teaming skills.
      • Ability to communicate to executives, business domain stakeholders and technical staff
      • Experience in digital transformation from both a business and technology perspective
      • Experience in retail, consumer packaged goods, manufacturing and/or pharmaceuticals domain
      • Demonstrated influence, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
      • Experience with innovation and ideation methods, such as design thinking
      • System integration experience including application of enterprise integration patterns
      • Understanding of common information architecture frameworks and information models
      • Experience with major enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, BOST, PEAF, etc.
      • Knowledge of ITIL Services Management and IT4IT operating models
      • Expertise with Services-Oriented Architecture (SOA) approach, and technology enablers such as API, microservices, application networks, etc.
      • Understanding of metamodels, taxonomies, and ontologies, as well as challenges of applying structured techniques (data modeling) to unstructured data sources
      • Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs.
      • Ability to analyze project, program and portfolio needs, as well as determine resources needed to achieve objectives and overcome cross-functional barriers
      • Experience with CI/CD Continuous Integration and Deployment e.g. Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, JIRA etc.
      • Experience in both waterfall SDLC as well as enterprise agile frameworks e.g. SAFe
      • Experience in reviewing and selecting technical and applications architectures solutions
      • Experience of working with technical and application architects

        Education Level/Degree:

        • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology related field e.g. Computer Science, Data Science, MIS, etc.is highly desired
        • MBA is highly desired
