The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing equipment troubleshooting and maintenance support to VMF Operations areas (sterile supply, weigh/dispense, media, stabilizer/prep, thaw/pool, filling, capping/inspection, etc.) located in aseptic and clean room environments. Works within a team to perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities. Completes complex maintenance tasks, resolves deviations and evaluates equipment performance. Follows proper procedures for maintaining production equipment in a clean room environment. Responsible for written documentation of activities. Actively supports, participates and embraces an empowered team culture including significant interaction with Production, Technical Operations, Quality and other support groups. **Education Minimum Requirement:** + Education Minimum Requirement: High School Diploma or GED **Required Experience and Skills:** + A minimum of four (4) years of equipment maintenance or related experience + Experience working in a clean room or GMP/regulated manufacturing environment + Knowledge of PLCs, DCS and process automation + Knowledge of skills for electrical installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment + Must be able tosuccessfully pass aseptic gowning qualification. Aseptic gowning requires thatall skin and hair be covered through wearing the following: Beard/moustachecover, hair net, hood and facemask, goggles, jumpsuit, gloves and boots + Must be willing to work a rotating shift 2-2-3 includingweekends and holidays. **Preferred Experience and Skills:** + Preferred: Technical School Diploma or Associate Degree + Computer fluency, including thorough knowledge of Delta V, MES, SAP, etc. is preferred Your role at Merck is integral to helping the world meet new breakthroughs that affect generations to come, and we?re counting on your skills and inventiveness to help make meaningful contributions to global medical advancement.
