Job Description:

Position DescriptionThe basic purpose of the maintenance engineer is to troubleshoot and repair all equipment associated in the production machines, vertical form fill seal bagger machines, blending, multi-headed packaging scale systems equipment and conveyors, etc. in a timely manner with minimal supervision Secondary duties include, but are not restricted to, upgrading and installation of new equipment, electrical, mechanical, PLC, , machining, etc., while maintaining the highest safety, quality, cost and GMP standards in a high speed manufacturing environment.Creating a maintenance plan for the organization's equipmentEstablishing maintenance policies and proceduresConducting frequent quality checks on equipment to ensure no maintenance is requiredCompleting emergency maintenance when equipment breaks downManaging the budget for the maintenance of equipmentKeeping a record of preventive and emergency maintenance carried outEnsuring the organization complies with safety regulations while maintenance takes placeWork in a safe manner, in compliance with Company, State and Federal GMP's, SOP's and company Policies and ProceduresProperly troubleshoot and repair all equipment associated in the production, packaging areasPerform preventative maintenance on all equipmentPerform general maintenance duties as it relates to plant equipmentParticipate and assist in the installation of new machineryProperly perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, as requiredProperly perform PLC programming troubleshooting, repairs, and upgradesInspect machines for parts wear and recommend/and make necessary repairs.Additional duties and various projects as needed.Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary.Follow all Food Safety guidelines, but not limited to:GMP'sAllergen ProgramQualitySanitationSafetySafety Responsibilities:Work in a safe and responsible manner at all times, following all safety policies, procedures, and rulesReport unsafe observations or conditions.Immediately report an injury or accident.Meet all company requirements for training, safety.SQF Requirements/Responsibilities:Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner following prescribed proceduresReport food safety problems to a supervisor or managerAssist in maintaining the preventative maintenance programProject management - ability to see job through to completion with attention to detail in a timely manner.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Day shiftMonday-Friday some weekendsWork setting:In-personAbility to commute/relocate:Oxford, NC 27565: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Associate (Required)Experience:food related equipment: 5 years (Required)Maintenance: 5 years (Required)Programmable Logic Controllers: 5 years (Preferred)Work Location: In person----
