Job Description:

currently has an exciting career opportunity for a Supply Chain
Specialist.Responsibilities include:
- Participate in competitive bidding and analysis of US
Government RFx.
- Review and select Government sales opportunities and/or
solicitations based off capability, competition, history and
expertise.
- Follow US Government / DLA related sub-contract program
management (FAR / DFAR) guidelines.
- Read complex drawings, specifications, customer contracts, and
other sources of information to ensure order requirements are
properly captured and flow down.
- Review, analyze, and implement RFx, purchase orders,
subcontract agreements, terms and conditions. Prepare initial
responses for the RFx.
- Collaborate with team to write/edit/proofread proposal sections
to ensure all requirements are captured accurately.
- Monitor and manage purchase orders and supplier performance to
achieve results in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
- Generate purchase orders. Operate within authority limits and
route purchase orders for approval as applicable.
- Expedite purchase orders needed to fulfill work orders.
- Work with various departments to coordinate and expedite
receiving inspection, kitting, and outside operations.
- Coordinate with production and procurement teams to set
priorities regarding orders placed, pending, or in transit.
- Maintain accurate promise dates in ERP reflective of latest
supplier commitments.
- Work with the planning, procurement, engineering, and
production teams to ensure MRP / ERP data remains clean and
accurate. Ensure system is updated with current promise dates, and
that production status planning tool(s) are maintained to ensure
visibility throughout the organization. Assist with resolution of
incorrect system data.
- Problem-solve in determining work around options for issues
that may delay production as required. Work cross-functionally to
achieve best results.
- Work with outside vendors to create / establish production and
delivery schedules that align with customer requirements.Job
requirements:
- Associates degree and a minimum 7 years' experience in highly
regulated industry or supporting proposal writing or
- Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience in highly
regulated industry or supporting proposal writing.
- Demonstrate understanding of methods of supply chain,
manufacturing, and operations.
- Must be proficient with ERP / MRP systems and be able to learn
Epicor.
- Government / DOD related sub-contract program management (FAR /
DFAR compliance) a plus.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and
specifications.
- Advanced Excel skills are required. Must be good with
numbers.
- Experience with proposals including reading/analyzing requests
for information (RFIs), requests for proposal (RFPs), and requests
for quotation (RFQs)
- Demonstrate high level of attention to detail and urgency. Must
be a Self-starter and team player. Must be able to multi-task and
prioritize workload.
- Demonstrate ability to develop and maintain relationships with
suppliers and co-workers in a pressured environment
- Must be able to contribute to the creation and improvement of
new and existing processes.
- Must be willing to travel (30%). The candidate must be a US
