Plant Production Technician- On behalf of our enterprise financial services company, Procom is seeking a Plant Production Technician for a 6-month contract in Durham, NC.

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Plant Production Technician to join our team in our laboratory greenhouse. The Plant Production Technician will be responsible for performing plant and seed production activities for commercial crops in support of plant science research. The ideal candidate will have experience in greenhouse operations and a strong background in plant biology.

Responsibilities:
Hand watering, fertilizing, and maintaining plants.
Sampling, transplanting, pollinating, and discarding plants.
Planting, harvesting, shelling, and counting seeds.
Assisting with data collection and plant performance observations
May include weekend and holiday hours.

Requirements:
Ability to perform physical duties required in greenhouse operations under adverse conditions.
Demonstrated ability and motivation to work in unsupervised situations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment and adherence to excellent stewardship practices
Ability to use MS office software and other databases efficiently.
BS degree or equivalent in agronomy, horticulture or plant science related field or an associate degree with 2 years of experience in plant biology

Preferred Qualifications:
Greenhouse experience
