Job Description:

MPF Federal is seeking CageWash Technician to support our clients evolving environmental health research mission in Research Triangle Park, NC.Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Familiar with the day-to-day activities, personnel and daily schedules within the facilities.
• Understands and follows all project SOPs and policies
• Clean and sanitize all animal caging and equipment.
• Provide clean caging set ups to the care staff daily.
• Maintain the cage washing area and support areas in a clean, neat and organized manner.
• Dispose of waste from the facility according to SOPs.
• Identify broken and malfunctioning caging and reporting it to the supervisor.
• Assist with routine preventive maintenance on the cage wash machinery.
• Be aware of the location of Safety Data Sheets used for chemical safety and first aid.
• Receive and store supplies, feed and bedding.
• Record and document environmental and machinery parameters per SOPs.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Qualifications:
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be US Citizen and ability to obtain a Clearance.
• Able to lift 50 -100lbs safely and wear PPE including respirators.
• Capable of performing basic cage wash duties with guidance.
• Ability to withstand adverse weather and environmental conditions
• Ability to work 8:00am and 4:30pm (Monday through Friday). May be required to work weekend, holiday, and after hours work is required as necessary to meet operational needs of the work site.
