New construction, renovations, and other required facility construction or maintenance is performed as needed. Participates in special projects as needed and participates in safety/ security measures.*Essential Job Duties- All Technicians: Understand, practice, and support safety standards in all work and in all locationsPerform general maintenance and repair duties including light carpentry, basic electrical, HVAC, grounds maintenance, and arranging furniture and partitionsAssist employees with internal movesMay work with specialized outside contractorsMay have some formal training in one or more tradesElectricianInstall, maintain, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems for the organization's facilitiesInstall electrical systems according to blueprints in facilities under constructionEnsure proper wiring in construction or repairs and ensure electrical systems are in compliance with local or national regulatory requirementsPerform tests and locate potential electrical hazards for repairHVAC TechnicianInstall and repair facility heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systemsPerform efficiency tests on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal functionMake recommendations for organization in order to improve efficiency or operationAssist in the design of new facility's plumbing systemsEnsure all HVAC systems are in compliance with local or national regulatory requirements.May require certification in use of refrigerantsMechanicInstall, maintain, test, and troubleshoot mechanical systems for the organization's facilitiesInstall mechanical systems according to blueprints in facilities under constructionEnsure proper wiring in construction or repairs and ensure mechanical systems are in compliance with local or national regulatory requirementsPerform tests and locate potential mechanical hazards for repairMay inspect and repair mechanical systems in equipment or machinery *This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
