Job DescriptionForklift OperatorJoin the team of a Fortune 500 integrated communications company in Durham, NC. As a hoist operator (forklift), you'll be vital to the materials handling team in this fast-paced packaging environment. This is a temp-to-hire position.We have several positions and shifts available:1st shift: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Pay rate: $17/hour3rd shift: 8:00 pm - 4:30 am Pay rate: $19/hourResponsibilities:• Performs manual and clerical duties related to the preparation and shipment of customer samples, components, and finished products• Shipped primarily through Fed Ex, UPS, USPS, or other similar carriers• Maintain necessary files and documentation• Utilize small hand tools and operate scales, metering machines, etc. • Primarily use hand truck and forklift to move materials • Typical shipping activities include checking goods against shipping documents and authorizations, packing goods for shipment according to specifications, preparing bills of lading, posting weight and shipping charges, and attaching information and shipping instructions on boxes• May occasionally perform activities related to the receiving materials such as unpacking of goods; checking against bills of lading, packing slips, etc., identification and quantity; maintaining records of goods received; rejecting damaged, excess, or misdirected goods routes material to inspection, stores or other destinationsRequirements:• Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions• Must possess a high regard for safety in the workplace• Experienced in Forklift operation• Able to lift 50 lbs.• May also engaged in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts• Previous onsite experience preferredApply online at solucionllc.com or call 704-617-6370
