Located at -4024 Stirrup Creek Drive, Suite 120, Durham, 27703JOB PURPOSE: -The Process Development Technician will assist in the planning and implementation of new projects, provide training and education to pharmacy staff as required, and complete operational tasks as listed below.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Competency exams
  • New Hires: Perform at 30 and 60 days after initial hire date.
  • Ongoing: Annually on partners hire date
  • Record scores on score log found on shared drive.
  • Review results of competency exam with each partner individually. For all questions that are missed. Print out policy and review with partner.
  • Framework/eHR Interface(s) (MatrixCare, PCC, HealthMedX, etc.)
  • Assist with troubleshooting and training of all issues reported to the pharmacy.
  • Work with triage and order entry staff to train on how to navigate eHR system(s) as needed.
  • Gather reported issues and send to Corey weekly prior to weekly call.
  • Attend and participate in weekly calls.
  • QAPI reporting
  • Entering all variances (errors that have left the pharmacy) in the Incident Management System as they are reported to the pharmacy.
  • Monthly: Participate in Monthly QAPI meetings and complete required reporting
  • Quarterly: Identify 2 errors using incident management system and quality event reporting in Framework to perform root cause analysis and performance improvement plans. These reports should be submitted to the Corey and Nancy to present to the EOT team in time for the quarterly EOT QAPI review.
  • Perform yearly audits of training manuals.
  • Any updates needed should be noted and brought to one of the scheduled process development meetings for discussion.
  • Cubex
  • Monthly spot check of transactions to ensure ADC tech is reviewing.
  • ATP
  • Document all errors/issues and service requests with ATP machine and provide to Nancy and on the first Wednesday of every month.
  • Scheduled Process Development Conference Calls
  • Attend and participate in process development conference calls (Twice monthly).
  • Report information obtained on call to pharmacy management and staff during department and pharmacy wide meetings.
  • Lead any new implementations (i.e. Cubex Installs, Converting to ATP, etc.)
  • Lead all new facility startups and maintain startup document(s) on common folder
  • Assist with insurance audits
  • Framework version testing
  • E-mail requested UAT to Travis and copy Corey for all Framework version upgrades
  • Participate in ALL department meetings.
  • Pass along ALL information obtained during conference calls.
  • This includes pharmacy managers meetings and department meetings
  • Spend time in each department and report issues to Corey/Nancy on a monthly basis.
  • Perform quality audits twice a year based on the yearly pharmacy audit spreadsheet. Send results to Corey and Nancy.
  • Perform one the quarter prior to pharmacy audit window.
  • Perform second the quarter after performance improvement plan for the yearly audit is completed.
  • Ongoing review and updates of the operation checklist(s) and Managers Report.
  • Manage post pharmacy audit performance improvement plan.
  • Send weekly updates to Corey, Nancy and AVP for 6 weeks post audit.
