Job Description:

John Moriarty & Associates of Virginia, LLC is in search of a Construction Project Coordinator.This position will be located at a construction project site or in our Northern Virginia office with the expectation of traveling to local project sites at times.
The candidate must be a highly motivated individual with strong organizational and time management skills along with an excellent ability to communicate (oral and written) in a positive and professional manner. An excellent attention to detail is critical, as well as an ability to work effectively both independently and with a team. Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills are a must. Responsibilities:

• Assist with project setup and maintenance of project records (including but not limited to subcontractor attachments, project logs, assorted project templates, and reports)
• Work closely with project team & subcontractors to assemble monthly requisition for clients
• Distribution of subcontractor payments and lien waiver administration
• Log and process all project related invoices in a timely manner
• Prepare, email and log subcontractor contracts, change orders, work & purchase orders
• Request, evaluate and log all subcontractor insurance certificates
• Monitor and update expired insurance certificates
• Assist with project closeout upon project completion
• Oversee purchasing of consumable materials & office equipment for assigned project
• Job duties may expand over time depending on needs
  Required Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Possess good analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision; possess self-discipline with the ability to effectively prioritize
  • Desire to gain an understanding of project flow from preconstruction through project completion
  • Strong internal office and field communication skills
  • Ability to represent company in a professional and positive manner
  • Thorough knowledge of office etiquette: polished & professional
  • Ability to work office hours as they are set
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Adobe X, Bluebeam, Newforma or other project management software experience is a plus
    • Bachelor's Degree and 0-2 years construction admin/accounting experience preferred
    • General business administration experience (Knowledge of office procedures, clerical aptitude and typing skills)
