Job Description:

Overview Reporting to the VP of Finance for Drug Products and Early Stage Development and testing, the Financial Analyst, in collaboration with the site controllers and accounting department, is responsible for the analysis of the financial statements, various management reports, the coordination and preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts, and performs detailed margin analyses across two business units. This role participates in the development and application of good financial and budgetary policies, procedures and controls. Responsibilities - Responsible for the analysis of the monthly financial statements and management reports - Responsible for preparing the forecasted results to include income statement, balance sheet and free cash flow. - Actively participate in the budget process, monthly forecasting and analysis of variances - Monitoring of revenue forecasts in collaboration with site Controllers and report results to management - Develop sophisticated financial models, report templates, and dashboards that are relevant to the business - Load and reconcile actual results and forecasts in Hyperion - Reconcile results in Business Intelligence data warehouse and leverage tool to meet reporting and analytical requirements for the business - Work closely with the site Controllers and Corporate FP&A teams on reporting and ad hoc analysis - Participate in the preparation of the presentation of actual and forecasted results to the head office - Responsible for the analysis of profitability and profit margins for the sites, lines of business, and project level - Responsible for maintaining standard labor rates - Participate in the preparation of the annual audit file; - Participate in the evaluation of the profitability of capital investment projects - Participate in the evaluation of savings delivered from the Operational Excellence and Sourcing initiatives - Participate in various special projects of financial analysis and improvements Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance - CPA designation or equivalent experience - 4 to 5 years of experience in financial and margin analysis or in a similar position - Intermediate level of experience of using Hyperion as a reporting and analysis tool - Experience in a manufacturing and service environments - Critical thinker with strong financial analytical skillset - Knowledge of integrated ERP software and more particularly SAP software is an asset - Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint software - Cambrex is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, or disability status. - - #cb #LI-LS1
