Job Description and RequirementsPartnership Architect & Manager - Government, Defense, Aerospace, SpaceDuties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and grow a deep technical and programmatic Partnership with select government Prime Contractors (Primes)Architect collaborative partnerships and solutions with PrimesTrack account technical needs, both bottoms-up from Synopsys solutions to tops-down from systems-level knowledge of applicationsTrack account strategies/future interests, and merge with knowledge of government interests and requirementsBuild Prime/Partner-centric solutions using Synopsys technologies and strategiesManage Synopsys-Partner funding opportunitiesSeek opportunities for joint funding/technical proposalsPrepare/support preparation of proposals, white papers, and similarSupport collaborative initiatives throughout the Prime's ecosystemBe a trusted advisor to Primes on Government funded opportunities and Synopsys technologies/strategies/roadmapsEngage Synopsys' commercial ecosystem to support Partner initiativesEnergetic thought-leader to help Synopsys grow its Government Programs businessAbility to work across Synopsys organizations to drive, develop, and influence market strategiesTriangulate and push to drive change and influence Partner decision makers Advise and assist corporate and market specific functions across Marketing, Business Units, and Primes/Ecosystem Partners to develop and position unique system differentiating capabilitiesHelp Sales teams understand, qualify, and develop differentiated or unique solutions for Primes and to deliver strategic Government Program growthDevelop and maintain strong Aerospace & Defense industry knowledge and market direction relevant to key Prime PartnersDevelop and foster executive relationships across the Government community: - Defense, Intelligence, Industrial Base, University, and commercial organizationsGrow, strengthen, and maintain Synopsys relationships within the communityProvide insight and leadership to help align Synopsys, prime partner, and Government interests, programs, and fundingQualificationsB.S. in Engineering or related field requiredM.S., PhD, MBA or other advanced technical or business degrees desiredExperience collaborating with government program performers (Primes) requiredExperience defining, writing, and managing government capture opportunities requiredDemonstrated ability to quickly build rapport requiredDoD systems / applications knowledge requiredMinimum 10+ years of technical program management, business development, product management, or program capture experience desiredAs an employee of a Prime and/orAs a government employee and/orPrior military or intelligence community experience[West Coast] Ideal candidate will be located in or have easy direct access to Southern California and the Southwest[East Coast] Ideal candidate will be located in or have easy access to Boston, DC, and/or FloridaAbility to travel up to 1/3 of the time across North America Must be a U.S. citizenActive Security Clearance is highly desiredSkillsStrong written and verbal communications skills that can be applied to multiple audiences (technical, financial, executive), including the ability to translate complex, technical information for briefings to non-technical personsDirect working experience with microelectronics in end-user system applications, including with SoC architectures, manufacturing, and the EDA or IP industryProficient in office productivity software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)CompetenciesProven ability to create high performance, collaborative teams within a company and across an ecosystem of partners, suppliers, and customersProven ability to develop successful relationships between partners by understanding each organization's capabilities and interests to create new partnership opportunitiesProven ability to think "outside the box" in new, creative ways to problem solve and find new ways to build and grow collaborative opportunities between organizationsRelationshipsThe position will require working relationships with Synopsys senior leadership (up to C-suite), Product Management and Engineering in Business Units and Marketing.This position will report into Director Strategic Government Programs and work closely with global business development, marketing, and sales teams.CompensationAttractive salary, bonus and benefits that are commensurate with experience and demonstrated ability.At Synopsys, we're at the heart of the innovations that change the way we work and play.
