Maria Parham HealthUnder the supervision of the Technical Services Manager, Security Administrator, oversees network and application security and access for the Information Technology department. Responsibilities include recommending new and modifications to existing department and hospital policies and procedures concerning HIPAA and Joint Commission compliance; conduct audits and monitor adherence to security policies and procedures - escalating and addressing violations immediately; monitor and ensure department physical security measures are followed by internal and external entities; monitors system back-ups; and organizes tests of the IT Business Continuity Plan to be prepared for catastrophic disasters within the computing environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMaintains network security for user accounts and system access for email and file shares. Works with and utilizes Lifepoint/HCA security protocols as requiredMaintains application user accounts and access to applications within all business systemsPerforms various security audits of the network to help ensure HIPAA and Joint Commission complianceEffectively documents security programs and processesHelps establish, update, and monitor IT and organizational level security policies and proceduresMonitors virus protection and security systems to ensure all equipment and operating systems are up to date with the latest security patches and protectionEnsures system backup and recovery processes and procedures are established and documented in the ITBCPMonitors department's physical access while ensuring adherence to established policies and proceduresEnsures appropriate authorization is received and documented prior to providing access to corporate systems and informationHelps establish and maintain the IT Business Continuity Plan to ensure the restoration of data, network, and communications resources. Ensures timely updates are applied to the BCP componentsProvides project status reporting in both verbal and written format as requiredProvides timely problem resolution progress updates to end users and management until full resolution has occurred, escalates issues on a timely basis, follows IT problem escalation procedureContinuously reviews work order system for assignments and user problems, makes assignments, responds on a timely basis, records status accordinglyUtilizes the IT Security Request application for receiving and completing security access requestsComplies with team, department, and hospital policies and procedures regarding the computing infrastructure and environments
