Job Description:
Job Purpose: This position contributes to the Company's success
by providing financial, administrative and clerical support in
ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by
receiving payments, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices
according to established policies and procedures in an efficient,
timely and accurate manner. Summary of Key
Responsibilities:
- Match purchase orders to invoices, scan and enter invoices into
database
- Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing
invoice/expense reports and recording entries
- Reconcile company credit card statements and coding
expenses
- Process payments to vendors by monitoring discount
opportunities, verifying FEINs, scheduling and preparing checks,
resolving purchase orders, contracts, invoices or payment
discrepancies and documentation; ensure credit is received for
outstanding memos
- Receive, verify and process expense reimbursements to
employees
- Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account
transactions
- Strong familiarity with Credit Card reconciliation
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements;
maintain vendor database
- Provide accurate and effective document preparation and records
management relative to the A/P function in accordance with records
retention policies and procedures
- Preparation of annual 1099s
- Any other duties, such as filing, or special projects as
assigned by the Controller/CFO
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A.S. or B.S. in accounting
- 1-3 years of Accounts Payable experience, in the pharmaceutical
industry preferred
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, general mathematics
skills, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and
confidentiality
- Excellent data entry, analytical, problem-solving and
decision-making skills
- Effective verbal, time-management, listening and written
communication skills
- Operate with a sense of urgency and ability to meet
deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook; and ERP
preferably D365 F&O/Business Central Tergus Pharma is an Equal
