Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.The R&D Principal Engineer - Senior System Architect, NAM, will serve as the champion for "Smart Electrical Equipment."-- - In this role you will integrate and develop system level digital architecture that meets business needs across the low voltage equipment product portfolio, be involved in long-term planning, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy, helping coordinate divisional accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives related to the interconnectivity of equipment products as building blocks to larger electrification architectures.Reporting to the R&D Team Manager, you will manage or coordinate development projects/activities of substantial impact to ABB, serving as an acknowledged expert in at least one technical discipline/research area. Your responsibilitiesCreates technology roadmaps for LV Switchgear ANSI product. Provides input to leadership regarding technology strategy planning working closely with PGTM, product manager, and customersProjects, processes and tools: Superuser in Creo and WindchillPlans and ensures an optimal project portfolio for the teamPlans capacity, people and resources for R&D projectsOversees efficient, timely and quality project execution (Teamgate /Norrd, Agile) using the most appropriate internal and external resourcesLead completion of 1.2 Emax and the new 6000A integration projects in Reliagrear SW productRecommends, develops, and improves processes and procedures to enhance local operations.
