As -a -Solution Architect in the Disability Evolution organization in Cary NC, you will be responsible for -creating solutions against our Catalyst platform based on the FINEOS Disability Claims product and will be a key member in the new Catalyst FINEOS co-development team. The right candidate must have a talent for considering the bigger picture, the ability to deep dive and evaluate multiple options, and the innovation to select the best solution. Critical to the position is the ability to translate Business Architecture and requirements into a Technical Solution. Design/roadmap and communicating the value to all levels of leadership. In support of bridging the gap between business and technical teams, the candidate will possess intellectual curiosity, ability to dive deep functional concepts, through thinking broadly, grasping complex configurations quickly, simplify the complexity and communication limitations and possibilities of any solution. This role provides you the opportunity to further develop your leadership skills, while advancing your business, strategy, and consultancy skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Solution design of cross functional, multi-application, hybrid-cloud platform to solve complex business problems for our Group Disability customers and their employees. - Partner with systems architects and development teams to validate and ensure that all FINEOS customizations are standardized, stable, and efficient to simplify and reduce the time to market
Document and create mocks/prototypes and requirement documents: BRD 's, FRD 's, Use Cases, User Stories; aid in the breakdown of Epics, into user stories; facilitate requirement workshops and solution reviews with FINEOS experts.
E2E analysis of given FINEOS product changes by understanding UI functional changes, Data changes, API contract changes; Create best practices for data contracts (API and batch), use cases, user stories, requirements elicitation and documentation
Research and analyze of business needs documented in various requirements documents, user stories, etc. to ensure completeness and accuracy. - When necessary, elicit requirements from business stakeholders and assist teams in documenting requirements that match the acceptance criteria.
Establishing yourself to be a FINEOS/Catalyst functional subject matter expert; Produce documentation and perform training of both junior staff as well as systems analyst teams to increase knowledge/education and promote reusable solutions.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:
8+ years ' experience of, and a proven ability for software analysis and solutioning; with strong technical experience, capability to partner with MetLife and Vendor teams to translate a business architecture to functional solution that will deliver on commitments to the marketplace
Functional knowledge of Insurance claims processing, specifically Disability and Absence benefits and claims
Experience of working with Cloud technologies - AWS or Azure, Integration technologies - API 's (SWAGGER, XML), Database technologies (PL/SQL), Distributed development and User Interface design
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with focused attention to details, as well as, demonstrated professionalism and time/task management skills; ability to establish strong relationships
Problem solving and Data analysis experience - ability to write complex queries and work with data in Excel or other toolsets.
Experience with both waterfall, iterative and agile methodologies; Agile experience highly desirable
Working knowledge of JIRA or similar tool

Preferred:
Experience with FINEOS or similar Vendor Claims processing system
Batch processing and API development experience; background in Java application development or other distributed development
Software architecture and design experience
SharePoint, Confluence understanding in support of knowledge management
Setting best practices, aligning multiple technical teams, and providing oversight to other BSA '
