Job Description:

Labcorp is actively recruiting for its Leadership Development Program (LDP), a two-year rotational program for upcoming highly motivated healthcare leaders. Selected participants will execute highly visible projects, interact regularly with senior executives, and complete targeted trainings designed to help them develop into future leaders of the enterprise. This position can be based at our office in Durham, NC, but is also open to remote working options.

Throughout the rotational program, participants will serve in a variety of roles designed to stretch and compliment the capabilities of the individual and to provide learning experiences that prepare them for long term success. Each participant will complete two one-year rotations:

  • Rotation 1: Typically an enterprise level role (Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development, Strategic Partnerships, Finance, M&A, etc.)
  • Rotation 2: Typically a business/operational role within a business unit/division or supporting a specific product within Marketing or IT

LDP participants will also receive network building opportunities across the business and meaningful experiences to help gain a holistic, global understanding of our business. Potential experiences include a ride along with the diagnostic sales team, a visit to a clinical trial testing site, shadowing of a lab tech, etc. At least one of these experiences is likely to involve international travel. Each member of the Labcorp Leadership Development Program will work under the direction of a Senior Executive Sponsor and have a mentor assigned to provide additional guidance.

The goal of the LDP is to continue to grow our strong talent base and build future leaders of the enterprise. Graduates of the LDP have a strong track record of transitioning into permanent leadership roles. Former program participants currently serve in leadership roles throughout our organization including in our esoteric businesses, our Strategic Partnerships and Venture Fund, and our Hospital and Health Systems business. A 2019 LDP graduate is also our current Chief of Staff to the enterprise CEO.

Skill Requirements:

  • Proven ability to successfully drive projects from concept to realization
  • Comfort with ambiguity, self-motivation, and a passion to excel
  • Excellent communication skills and analytical ability
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, strong judgment, and an aptitude for management
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, Labcorp management, and Labcorp team members
  • 3+ years of work experience (preferably in Healthcare) preferred
