Occupational Summary

Coordinate and participate in a variety of duties to assist investigators in the collection, verification and compilation and analysis of research data.

Work to be Performed:

Management of the Bass Connections Team AUBPT including managing IRB needs, creating data collection and management tools, organizing student meeting, overseeing student activities

  • Quality assurance: compile verify the accuracy of research data
  • Prepare and maintain files of research materials
  • Conduct library literature searches as needed
  • Oversee the compilation, completion and dissemination of work products from this research
  • Make and review work assignments of local and global learners and assist in the hiring and training of any new personnel

PRACT Management: participating in data management and analysis for the PRACT study including manuscript development, editing and submission, creating meetings for the US and Tanzania teams and mentoring global partners in data analysis and manuscript development

  • Quality assurance: compile verify the accuracy of research data
  • Prepare and maintain files of research materials
  • Conduct library literature searches a needed
  • Oversee the compilation, completion and dissemination of work products from this research
  • Make and review work assignments of local and global learners and assist in the hiring and training of any new personnel

Pediatric Surgery: Management: participating in data management and analysis for the low-cost laparoscopy study including manuscript development, editing and submission, organizing and performing in vivo experiments

  • Quality assurance: compile verify the accuracy of research data
  • Prepare and maintain files of research materials
  • Conduct library literature searches as needed
  • Oversee the compilation, completion and dissemination of work products from this research
  • Coordinate experiment times and complete necessary paperwork for in vivo experiments

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Bachelors degree strongly preferred in science, math or global health related fields, knowledge of basic mathematical, data collection, data analysis and research principles acquired in college education with additional research training.

Experience:

At least one year conducting research in a global context. Experience with R, data analysis, zoom and global meeting organization, experience with the conduct of research including regulatory reviews, data collection and management, data analysis, mentorship of learners in research principles and the conduct of research.
