Our client, a leading manufacturer in the industrial sector, is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join their team on 2nd shift. As a Machine Operator, you will be an essential part of the production department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have machine operator skills, able to work with fiberglass,and attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Machine Operator Location: Altavista, VA Pay Range:$17.00 an hour Shift: 4 p.m. to Midnight What's the Job? Load yarn onto pin trucks, RPS, or in cartons, and remove yarn from these sources. Creel packages of yarn to machines and prepare spindles for operation, including splicing or tying knots as needed. Remove and replace empty supply tubes, and doff packages from machines, placing them on appropriate carts or in cartons. Clean waste from leno spools, prepare spools for looms, and record production data accurately. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on equipment, patrol machines for issues, and ensure quality standards are met. What's Needed? High school diploma or GED required. Ability to pass background check and drug screening. Experience working with fiberglass Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with safety protocols.
