**Developer / Security Automation Engineer** + Location: RTP, North Carolina, US + Additional Location(s) San Jose, Austin + Area of Interest Engineer - Software + Job Type Professional + Technology Interest Software Development, Testing + Job Id 1245480 **What You'll Do** You will be part of a brand-new program within the Information Security organization, developing workflows and automation for CSDL (Cisco Secure Development Lifecycle) within the Cisco enterprise. As a technical and inspiring leader, you will work across organizational and team boundaries in order to drive decisions that align with the future architecture and business goals. You will lead significant technology initiatives from inception to successful deployment. You?ll collaborate with other engineers on the team to foster solid engineering principles to write well-constructed and easy to maintain code You?ll use both technical and relational skills to lead large-scale projects to completion. We'll look for you to provide perspective on leading industry trends, recommendations on new and emerging technologies, thought leadership on code quality, and process improvements. You will innovate alongside other senior members of our staff to develop automated security validation. **Who You Are** You are a tech-savvy individual who enjoys the challenges of solving difficult technical problems in a fast-paced dynamic environment. You act quickly, are passionate, highly motivated and eager to affect significant impact to make Cisco more secure! **Minimum Qualifications** + A Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience + 5+ years of software development experience + Applied knowledge of Agile Methodologies, DevOps and CI/CD with relevant experience in all phases of the Product Life Cycle. + You are experienced in building complex automation frameworks using languages such as Python, Java, Go, or other programming and scripting tools + You have expertise in configuration management tools (such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible etc.) to automate systems and processes + You have experience with Linux/UNIX systems administration, and the standard methodologies for deploying applications to those stacks + Expertise in container technologies and working with containerized software (using Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, etc.) + Demonstrated ability to take ownership of features that range from services provisioning on PaaS/IaaS, deployment automation/configuration, Jenkins CI, and Nodejs/Python application development + Ability to streamline software development by contributing to implementation of a continuous integration process and automating manual processes. + Strong understanding of information security concepts and practices, Cisco is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, genetic information, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected basis.
