We are seeking a candidate looking for the opportunity to apply their software engineering expertise in a quest to partner with our DC Recordkeeping organization. Member of an agile engineering scrum team working in a fast-paced environment, closely collaborating with product, business / operational teams, architecture, and other engineering teams.


The Team


We are continuously looking to improve the team. We need a new team member who can make an immediate impact. We are an agile squad that is part of the Recordkeeping Platform Modernization within the defined contribution recordkeeping platform. Working together and with other squads, we deliver solutions to our customers by aligning the right skillsets to their most critical business priorities. The work is diverse, challenging, and provides for continuous learning and growth opportunities.


The Expertise You Have


Minimum of 7+ years of development experience

Exposure to mainframe development; COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM

Hands-on experience working with PL-SQL and NoSQL, ETL tools

Experience with Java, python, spring

Agile methodology experience.

Proven Experience writing Java

Knowledge of native stored procedures is a plus

Strong Team builder, collaborator, and partner

BS or MS degree in a technical field such as computer science/engineering or related field

Software development experience in business critical, enterprise-wide applications

Mainframe development expertise in Java

Ability to perform detailed analysis for maintenance and improvement projects both batch and online

Deploy and support software releases into production environments

Employ your data security skills to keep our customers information safe

You are detailed and thorough with unit, functional and regression testing

Experience in Distributed Technologies (Nice to have/Willing to learn)

Confidence to think and act strategically, share innovative insights, and offer creative solutions to deliver exceptional user experiences

Proven interpersonal and organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills

Embrace flexibility and shift focus to meet the most pressing customer/client needs

You bring a growth mentality to work every day as you continue to learn new technologies and skills and seek to share that knowledge with your squad members

As a software engineer, you will drive platform evolution with specific responsibilities for providing technical leadership in data engineering, as well as in Test Driven Development

You will be responsible for delivery assignments and participate in a healthy dose of forward-looking experimentation on emerging technologies or advanced concepts in mature technologies.

You have experience in large volume data implementations, Data Analysis, application platform development for a global customer base.

If you are a highly motivated and responsive teammate, with a "Can do" attitude who is able to multi-task and work under minimal supervision, this role is for you.
