The Role
Fidelity Investments Workplace Solutions (WS) organization is
seeking a motivated and customer focused technology Chapter Leader.
You will be playing a key role in managing build out and
enhancements to a global equity management platform for Fidelity
customers. You will lead a diverse team of technologist focused on
building out the platform while partnering with other folks across
the organization. You will be working closely with architects,
squad leaders, engineers, business SMEs and partner teams to
execute on the strategy while setting standards for market leading
enterprise grade platform.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g.
Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required.
12+ years of demonstrable experience in Information Technology
functions
6+ years of experience in technology product management and project
management
5+ of years of experience managing teams of engineers, developers
and analysts working in agile product development.
Passion for engineering excellence, empowering others and
continuous improvement via collaboration and willingness to
learn
Proven track record of hiring and building highly effective
technology engineering teams
Experience leading, coaching, mentoring and developing people and
teams in an agile organization
Your ability to collaborate with other technical and business
specialists in the team
Verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence
the desired outcome for all
Detailed understanding of release, change, problem and project
management principles and methodologies.
Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills to
understand complex customer needs and transactions
Your ability to learn and experiment with new technologies and
patterns
Your passion to nurture modern test driven and automation driven
software development methodologies
Your expertise in converting technology goals into achievable
initiatives and Epics and stories
Your experience in executing projects in an Agile environment
Advanced skills in building web based applications running in the
cloud
Strong knowledge and experience developing Java and Python based
applications
Strong understanding of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
Experience with relational database technologies like Postgres
Strong working knowledge of cloud native application stack building
on Kubernetes platform
Solid understanding of Cloud Computing and DevOps concepts
including CI/CD pipelines
Understand the value of scalable architecture and sound design
principles

Guide the team on making incremental progress towards achieving big

Communicate changes, incidents, and status to senior leadership in
product area and chapter area
Ensure software development standards are established and adhered
to by all squads aligned to the roadmap
Partner with squad leads and other chapter teams to build the
roadmap and help with prioritization
Measure team's success and results and adapt accordingly
Ability to work in a matrix environment across multi-functional
teams
Talent growth and assignments to position the teams for delivering
value on strategic priorities
Proactively share insight, knowledge, enterprise strategies and
industry themes with everyone
The Team
You will be part of the technology team in Stock Plan Services
business unit that administers equity compensation programs on
behalf of public and private companies offering various
compensations programs such as: Employee Stock Purchase Plans,
Restricted Stock Awards/Units, Stock Option Plans, Stock
Appreciation Rights and Performance based Awards. Currently SPS
services approx. 2.5M participants employed by over 600 clients and
spread out in 150 countries. The business is looking to further
expand in the international equity compensation markets as well as
private markets. We are specifically focusing on building new
capabilities for private companies and start-ups like capable
management.
