Senior UX Developer The RoleFidelity Investments User Experience Design team is looking for multiple front-end engineers who are passionate about web, native iOS, or Android development. The ideal candidates have a desire to learn emerging technologies, and want to be a part of an agile, collaborative team to deliver best-in-class online customer experiences.The Expertise and Skills You Bring

    • You have 6+ years of professional development experience building publicly available:
      • Web - web pages and apps using HTML, CSS, SCSS, Javascript ES5/ES6, build frameworks (webpack, angular-cli), jQuery, Angular, and Typescript or,
      • Mobile iOS native - iOS apps using Swift 5, Objective-C, Cocoa Touch, UIKit, and XCode, or,
      • Mobile Android native - Android apps using Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Gradle, and Android Studio.
      • You understand and have experience working in an agile environment with a team of developers participating in code reviews, pull requests, and pair programming.
      • You have a passion for technology, can navigate your way across complex and rapidly-changing landscapes by staying on top of latest trends, and thrive by sharing knowledge.
      • Are a creator, a doer, and a disruptor who will help us tackle real-life problems and meet real customer needs. You ll be helping us build and improve our web or mobile experiences, taking an idea, prototyping if necessary, working closely with other developers, designers, research, business, architecture and other employees to build minimal viable products that can easily and iteratively be built upon, and learning from real-life feedback.
      • Are a self-starter, who actively challenges status-quo, is curious and not afraid to ask ---Why--- and ---What if---?
      • Are experienced with the tools of the trade including a variety of modern programming languages and frameworks.
      • Have strong communication skills and technical expertise to drive and participate in important discussions.
      • Writing semantic, accessible, and high quality code following the latest standards available.
      • Building and contributing using reusable components and patterns.
      • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge regarding coding for Accessibility (ADA).
      • Use of available debugging tools for debugging/testing/optimization.
      • Understanding of REST services and utilization of APIs.
      • Responsive development and testing.
      • A keen eye for picking out visual display differences, maintaining consistency, and accuracy as it relates to coding work from design artifacts.
      • Emphasis on quality but with a clear understanding of the principle of pace over perfection.
      • CI/CD and release engineering (Jenkins/UDeploy/Artifactory/SonarQube) understanding a plus.
      • Senior UX Developers typically:
        • Build rock-solid presentation layer code for complex web applications that help improve the financial lives of over 25 million Fidelity customers.
        • Work with agile teams to apply defined corporate style guide and accessibility standards.
        • Contribute to our enterprise design system component library.
        • Work with designers, product owners, and application development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
        • Provide well-thought, insightful feedback that improves the quality of work produced as a whole.
