Job Description:SummaryTo lead all aspects of production readiness, availability and resiliency of critical Applications, Batches & Infrastructure representing various business units while being centrally aligned to the Production Services organization. EI&O-PS supports 3000+ applications across Fidelity business units providing roster based on call rotation (follow the sun model). Services provided by EI&O-PS include Application and Batch Support via Incident management, Change management, Environment management, UI, Middle Tier & Database Services, Mainframe operations, Release Services & Performance Engineering services.The Expertise You HaveAbility to troubleshoot application issues on Unix/Linux with J2EE, WebSphere, Tomcat and SQLBasic working experience on Dockers/KubernetesExposure to basic OS level scripting languages such as Korn/Bash/JscriptFamiliarity with ITIL processes like Incident management, Change/Problem managementBalancing delivery with ad hoc workloads and re-evaluating prioritiesPenchant to learn new technologies & increase technical fungibilityExcellent interpersonal skills2 to 6 years of a proven track record with a B.E/MCA/EquivalentExperience with enabling and managing cloud services, usage, and optimizationsAWS, and/or Kubernetes certifications are a plusThe Skills You BringExtensive experience in designing and developing automationLead significant production improvements that result in direct business opportunities for FidelityCreate solutions that support a DevOps practice for delivery and operations of servicesAdapting to rapid changes in Cloud with ability to learn very quicklyTrack record of ideation and innovating technology at scaleSystematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.The Value You DeliverBuild Infrastructure/Services and Solutions Engineering for deploying Apps on On-prem & Cloud Infrastructure (GTM /LTM Ubuntu or RHEL servers on-prem) (ECS, EKS, EC2, ALB, R53, ECR, ACM, LAMBA, CFT, SQS, etc. on AWS)Fix production incidents related to Java/node applications on AWS/On-premUse Jenkins for Application build & DeploymentModernization - On-prem to Public CloudBuild & Support Kubernetes clustersHandle huge fleet of prem servers (including security & patching oversight)Handle 2500+thousands of SSL certificates for all applications in scopeUse Ansible & Python for automating day-to-day activities, Web development with Django, JavaScriptPartner with Dev teams on app modernization initiatives (Dockerizing, Cloud onboarding etc.)Use Datadog & Splunk for Application Observability and monitoring of app & infrastructureThe position requires a combination of strong troubleshooting, technical and communication skills and includes a mix of on call and operational tasks and involves small to medium level software development work.Dive deep to resolve problems at their root, looking for failure patterns amenable to long-term solutions via simplification and automationCultivate relationships with developers, engineers and other technology partners to understand their infrastructure needs.Act as a technical point of escalation, provide mentorship, and technical direction to team-members and evangelize best practices and methodologies.SREs troubleshoot, debug, evaluate and resolve computer-identified alarms, make feature enhancements, bug fixes, systems management, perform software deployments and migrations, host management and automate routine operational tasks.Certifications:Company OverviewFidelity Investments is a privately held company with a missionto strengthen the financial well-being of our clients.We help people invest and plan for their future.
