Principal Technical Product Manager, Int'l & Industry
Integrations Product Management Seattle, Washington Remote, United
States Durham, North Carolina To own the product integration and
unification strategy, roadmap, and execution across Avalara's
International and Industry product lines. Your mission will be to
drive architectural modernization, integration, and convergence of
Avalara's suite of international & industry solutions onto our
shared platform services. - Responsibilities As the Principal
-Product Management, you will be responsible for defining the
specifications and roadmap for integrating Avalara's International
and Industry solutions onto our shared platform services. This will
require a well thought out strategy for standardizing and
modernizing our tech stacks, APIs, and data glows so that our suite
of solutions can continue to deliver on unique market needs per
region and industry, while leveraging the best of our shared
services. This role requires close collaboration with product line
managers, architects, and engineering leaders to properly scope,
plan, and execute acquisition integration and product
modernization/migration strategies. This role reports to the SVP,
Solutions Product Management. Primary responsibilities include:
- Work with product and engineering teams to d evelop functional
and architectural requirements for product integration and
convergence onto shared platform services, unified UX, and common
business services.
- Work with shared services and platform teams to defin e
standards for application modernization, data integration,
QTC/billing/subscription/usage consolidation, tech stack
unification and consumption of shared services and UX across
multiple product lines (acquired and organic).
- Work with architects and engineering to c reate an
architectural roadmap and strategy to drive product modernization,
migration and transitions, while enabling our product lines to
continually evolve.
- Evangelize and communicate integration strategy and roadmap
with customers, cross-functional stakeholders, and
executives---achieving understanding and alignment of
prioritization decisions through transparency, collaboration, and
with customer-evidenced
- Partner cross-functionally with other leaders and teams across
product management, UX, engineering, sales, support, services, and
other business stakeholders to drive alignment of product
priorities tied to growth, efficiency, quality, and sustained
differentiation. Qualifications
- Domain: You have at least 7-10 years of experience across
product development or product management, product
analyst/operations, product design, or IT. You've integrated and
managed applications/products for B2B businesses/companies using
agile/lean
- Technology : You have hands-on, deep knowledge of data
integration/infrastructure, application infrastructure, APIs,
microservices, and systems architecture. You've been a key player
in managing/leading product/technology migrations. -
- Built for scale : You know how to design and architect products
for scale and flexibility, enabling any-to-any integrations through
APIs.
