Job Description:The RoleThe technical Team Lead is part of the
new FBT R4 Domain within the FBT organization. This R4 leadership
team is responsible for stability and resiliency of the FBT
Brokerage Platform. This Team Lead will manage 5-10 team members
and prioritize their work. They will be aligned to a Brokerage
Product consisting of functional capabilities and the systems which
support them.
- Lead a team of technologist in the newly formed FBT R4 Domain
with alignment and ownership of Brokerage Product (e.g. Trades
Processing or Margin)
- Manage both the work and the associates within in this
team
- Prioritize backlog based on business objectives and value,
operating in an agile Kanban framework
- Ensure that the team responds promptly to production incidents
leveraging the people and best practices to swiftly mitigate
customer impact, identify root cause, and determine short term and
long term corrective actions
- Use strategic planning and execution to proactively mitigate
potential customer impacting incidents
- Represent and collaborate across Fidelity with EI, ECC,
business partners, and other key stakeholders
- Assist R4 leaders in communicating with executive articulation
and succinctness
- Identify improvement opportunities and partner across R4 teams
to lead and collaborate on executing and implementation of new and
current standards
- Cultivate associate development and provide direction to foster
associate success
- Closely monitor Key Performance Indicators, to ensure targets
are met and/or exceeded, taking corrective action as needed
- Promote a diverse and inclusive environment, ensuring all
associates are provided a safe and respectful workplace
- Anticipate and resolve challenges within and across teamsThe
Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 5-10 years brokerage industry and technology experience
required; prior management and brokerage experience highly
preferred
- Experience with Tier 0 and extreme high volume/high concurrency
technology systems
- Familiar with numerous technologies and resiliency best
practices across platforms such as mainframe, distributed, and/or
cloud
- Experience with 24/7/365 support including oncall and
playbooks
- Foundational Agile knowledge. Experience with Kanban is
preferred.
- Working knowledge of Disaster Recovery practices
- Strong leadership skills and proven track record to lead,
coach, and mentor associates
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Flexible and able to shift priorities using planning,
organizational, and interpersonal skillsPlease see below for the
