4/20/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with
Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro RN in Winston Salem, North
Carolina, 27103! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Medical Surgical - Neuro Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night
Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing
experience, with at least 1 year of direct Medical-Surgical
experience. Unit does not accept 1st-time travelers. Must have at
least 2 successful contracts before applying. License: Current
nursing license required. Certifications: BCLS, NIHSS required.
ACLS preferred but not required. Must-Have: Experience in IV start
and telemetry. Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
Experience in Medical-Surgical neuro care. Description: This
position involves caring primarily for stroke patients and other
neurology diagnoses, including epilepsy and subdural hematomas. The
unit is equipped with a 4-bed monitoring area for epilepsy. Nurses
may care for up to 6 patients per shift. Floating to other
Medical-Surgical or Telemetry areas may be required. All staff must
work every other weekend and may need to make up shifts as
determined by unit needs. Candidates will undergo EKG testing prior
to start. Candidates must have a strong background in
Medical-Surgical nursing with no less than 1 year of specific
experience required. The unit serves a diverse range of patients
with various neurosurgical conditions including strokes and
traumatic brain injuries. Nurses will utilize electronic systems
for charting and medication management. Team support includes
various interdisciplinary services such as physical therapy and
respiratory services. Candidates must be comfortable floating to
meet patient care needs across units. Working more than 5
consecutive days or exceeding 60 hours per week is not permitted.
All required modules must be completed prior to the start of the
