An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced RN with Cardiac Cath Lab skills to provide specialized nursing care in a Level 1 Trauma, academic medical center specializing in cardiac care. This contract position is based in Greensboro, NC, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a strong focus on patient safety and clinical excellence. Responsibilities: - Administer medications and provide sedation during cardiac catheterization procedures. - Monitor patients throughout cardiac cath interventions, including complex cases such as Impella, Watchman, TAVR, ECMO, and pediatric cardiac cases. - Circulate in the Cath Lab while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols. - Collaborate effectively with physicians, anesthesia providers, respiratory therapists, and cardiac cath techs to ensure seamless patient care. - Utilize advanced medical equipment including Siemens x-ray systems and document care using EPIC, Cupid, and Sensis EMR platforms. - Participate in a thorough orientation program to become fully integrated within the Cath Lab team. Qualifications / Desired Experience: - Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with BLS and ACLS certification. - Minimum 1 year nursing experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or cardiovascular setting; 2 years preferred. - Ability to provide patient sedation and medication administration; proficiency in scrubbing procedures is an asset but not required. - Comfortable working with a diverse patient population, including neonatal to adult cardiac cases. - Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills.
