Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Open to 4/48 schedule (4 days on, 4 days off, working 48 hours per week) • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required • Level 1 Trauma experience required • CTICU focus experience required (CVICU experience acceptable) • North Carolina RN license required • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required (AHA or ARC) • Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from accredited school required (BSN or MSN preferred) • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process • Care for patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects • Perform bedside point of care testing as required • Assess patient/family readiness to learn and developmental factors affecting learning ability • Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions and evaluation of patient care • Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs • Participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities • Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks for patients with complex problems Facility: This major academic medical center operates as a Level 1 Trauma facility providing comprehensive critical care services.
