Job Description:
Southern Health Partners is seeking a passionate and dedicated
PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the
correctional healthcare environment. Our goal is to provide
superior healthcare services in correctional facilities by focusing
on effective patient care and innovative health solutions, while
also maintaining cost-effectiveness. This position plays a vital
role in managing and delivering medical care to the inmate
population in a secure setting. You will work under the guidance of
registered nurses and doctors to ensure the health and well-being
of patients with various medical conditions. Provide nursing care
to patients within a correctional facility under the supervision of
RNs and medical staff. Conduct health assessments and contribute to
the patient care planning process. Administer prescribed
medications, noting times and amounts on patients' charts. Monitor,
record, and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions and
vital signs. Assist in the development and modification of patient
care plans in collaboration with healthcare team. Maintain
accurate, detailed, and confidential records of healthcare services
provided. Educate patients on health maintenance and disease
prevention in a correctional setting. Strong clinical skills in a
healthcare setting Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a
challenging environment Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills Detail-oriented with robust record-keeping and documentation
skills Capacity to make swift and rational decisions Current
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) preferred but not mandatory
