Job Description:

Southern Health Partners is currently seeking a dedicated and licensed Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team at Harnett County Jail. This role is instrumental in our commitment to deliver superior medical services while ensuring the secure and compassionate treatment of those in our care. The CMA will be responsible for managing medication distribution, monitoring patient responses, and recording necessary medical information with the utmost accuracy and professionalism. Administer daily medications to inmates as prescribed by medical personnel Monitor patients before, during, and after medication administration, observing and documenting responses Record and update patient files with medication and health status information Ensure the storage and security of medication and medical supplies Collaborate with jail staff and healthcare professionals to ensure adherence to all health and safety protocols Educate patients on medication purposes and effects, maintaining a high level of patient care and compliance Respond to emergencies and administer first aid including CPR when necessary Proficient in administering medications and understanding medical terminology Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Capability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively Medical Insurance Valid Certified Medication Aide certification from a recognized state board CPR Certification desirable
