As a Dermatology Medical Assistant in Greensboro, you will be an essential part of our clinical team, working closely with physicians to ensure optimal patient care and smooth daily operations. Responsibilities Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and accurately recording medical histories. Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring that necessary instruments and equipment are available and ready to use. Perform basic laboratory tests and manage specimen preparation for analysis. Maintain thorough and confidential patient records, adhering to all privacy regulations. Schedule patient appointments and coordinate office communications for efficiency. Educate patients about their treatment plans, medications, and effective skincare practices. Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and well-stocked with medical supplies. May participate in supporting the clinic’s social media presence, including gathering content, sharing clinic-approved updates, and assisting with community engagement efforts as directed Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred. Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical environment is desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly in the field of dermatology. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient engagement. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information professionally. Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software is advantageous.
