Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Winston Salem, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,924 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of orthopedic experience required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred Must-Have: - Must have orthopedic work experience - Experience with telemetry monitoring - Ability to start and maintain IVs Description: The unit provides care for orthopedic and neuro spine patients, as well as general medical-surgical and post-surgical patients. Nurses are expected to stay on top of pain management for high post-surgical orthopedic patients. The average daily census is approximately 37 patients. There are 39 rooms and beds in the unit, serving a diverse patient population. Staffing ratios typically range from 5-6 patients per nurse but may flex up to 7:1 in extreme cases. Nurses may be required to float to other medical-surgical units within the facility based on staffing needs. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend, and any hours missed need to be made up on weekends if an RN calls out. Candidates must work two out of three major holidays. No requests for time off will be approved in the first week of employment due to orientation. A fast-paced work environment necessitates strong customer service skills.
