Providing advanced patient care in an operating room setting, this role requires a skilled RN with expertise in orthopedics, spine, gynecology, general surgery, and robotics. The position offers 12-hour variable shifts with weekend calls, supporting a dynamic and fast-paced surgical environment dedicated to quality outcomes and patient safety. Key Responsibilities: Deliver perioperative nursing care across multiple specialties including ortho, spine, GYN, general, and robotic surgeries Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure effective patient management Maintain precise and compliant documentation utilizing Epic charting system (strongly preferred) Adapt to changing schedules and manage on-call responsibilities, up to 50 hours over six weeks Uphold infection control protocols and COVID-19 vaccination requirements Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact state Current AHA BLS certification Minimum 3-5 years experience in OR nursing with focus on orthopedics, spine, gynecology, general surgery, and robotic procedures Strong computer skills, familiarity with Epic preferred Demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and excellent interpersonal skills Travel nursing experience highly preferred Schedule: 12-hour variable shifts Weekend and holiday call required Contract length: 13 weeks, start date ASAP Guaranteed 36 to 40 hours per week, excluding orientation week or facility closures Uniform Guidelines: Scrubs in solid red, black, gray, or white; no patterns except in pediatrics T-shirts under scrub tops allowed in solid matching colors; no hoodies or fleece jackets permitted Location Insight:Based in the vibrant Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina, this region is known for its rich cultural life, excellent dining, and thriving healthcare sector.
