How You'll Contribute As an RN at Maria Parham, you'll: Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across a variety of patient needs Utilize your clinical expertise to guide and implement individualized plans of care Serve as a patient-care innovator, using the latest technology and best practices Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes Position Summary Provides direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to: Director or Manager of Department. Essential Functions: Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult. Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record. Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees. Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex. Qualifications & Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license) Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required); ACLS, PALS and handle with Care preferred. One year of RN Hospital experience required.
