Job Description:

Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU - PRN
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Provides postoperative nursing care.
Safely and adequately provides and utilizes equipment and supplies based on unique patient need.
Uses electronic nursing documentation for charging patient supplies per department policy and procedure.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Assesses the physiological and psychosocial needs of the patient and works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
SOVAH Health - Danville is a 250 bed hospital with the region's only designated Chest Pain Center & Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center. We are an academic teaching site for residents, medical students, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and physician assistants.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
