Description Become part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 diverse employees, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of the unique communities we serve.Summary: The Certified Pharmacy Technician provides support to the pharmacist by reviewing, compounding and dispensing medications. All work is carried out in a pharmacuetical warehouse setting under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.Responsibilities: -1. Fulfills medication and supply orders for distribution to hospitals and clinics within and/or affiliated with the health-system. -2. Staffs for a minimum of one full weekend (Saturday & Sunday) per month. -3. Coordinates shipments to customers utilizing multiple couriers and shipment pathways and ensures compliance with temperature requirements (i.e; cold chain, room temperature). -4. Documents pharmaceutical distribution activities for medications and equipment, quality control requirements, etc. using automated and paper systems. Ensures accuracy of data. -5. Responds to and triages requests from customers for assistance with pharmacy distribution or compounding services. -6. Utilizes automated dispensing technology and related computer software to fulfill customer orders. -7. Receives, restocks, and rotates inventory, and completes expiration date management. -8. Contributes to process improvement projects. -9. Participates in regulatory compliance inspection and documentation of medication storage areas. -Other InformationOther information:Education Requirements:--- None required as long as other position qualifications are met. Completion of an academic pharmacy technician training program preferred.Licensure/Certification Requirements:--- Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy unless enrolled in a PharmD program. -CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA unless enrolled in a PharmD program.Professional Experience Requirements:--- Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
