All work is carried out under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.This position qualifies for our Pharmacy Technician Incentive Program, which includes $5000 in commitment incentives spread over a two-year period. Payment is made after six months, one year, and two years of employment. • Under the supervision of a pharmacist, fulfills medication and supply orders for distribution to hospitals and clinics within and/or affiliated with the health-system. -
• Compounds and/or repackages medications (sterile products, oral, topical, etc.) under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. -
• Coordinates shipments to hospitals and clinics with multiple couriers and shipment pathways and ensures compliance with temperature requirements (i.e; cold chain, room temperature) -
• Documents pharmaceutical distribution activities for medications and equipment, quality control requirements, etc. using automated and paper systems. Ensures accuracy of data. -
• Responds to and triages requests from customers for assistance with pharmacy distribution or compounding services. -
• Supports hospital automated dispensing technology to supply correct refill medications thru targeted distribution programs. -
• Receives, restocks, and rotates inventory, and completes expiration date management. -
• Assists with training of new employees, educating them in job-specific functions.
• -Contributes to process improvement projects. -
• Participates in regulatory compliance inspection of medication storage areas, including inspections and/or controlled substance inventories, USP797 and other regulatory documentation as required.Other InformationOther information:Education Requirements:--- None required as long as other position qualifications are met. Completion of an academic pharmacy technician training program preferred.Licensure/Certification Requirements:--- Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy unless enrolled in a PharmD program. -CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA unless enrolled in a PharmD program.Professional Experience Requirements:

• Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
• -Sterile compounding experience is preferred. -Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods (most of an 8-hour shift). -
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift. -
