teamwork!
With our primary population being musculoskeletal disorders and
trauma, we collaborate every day with multiple interdisciplinary
team members like our ever present APPs, as well as dieticians,
stress management, acute pain service, physical therapy,
occupational therapy, and speech therapy. We take intermediate and
stepdown patients, and our most common stepdown patients transfer
to us from the SICU (surgical intensive care unit). Our trauma
patients provide us so many amazing opportunities to go above and
beyond for our patients! Many of them are struggling on many levels
with the unexpected life event that brought them to us, and we can
provide extremely valuable emotional support and education to
ensure their success and healing when they leave 11DCT. We excel in
wound care, pain control, mobilization, and navigating complex care
