2nd Shift: 3:00PM - 11:30PM OR 11:30am - 7:30pm
One Full Time Position

SUMMARY



RN Supervisor or LPN Resource Nurse is responsible for supervising nursing staff on a designated shift and area of facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Monitors and directs medical care and assistance to all residents in the healthcare facility.
Supervises activities and performance functions of nursing staff on duty.
Ensures compliance with facility policies and procedures.
Ensures compliance with government regulatory policies and procedures.
Ensures adequate staffing for designated shift.
Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
Prepares equipment and aids Physician during treatment and examination of residents.
Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of residents.
Observes resident's significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or Physician of resident's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of resident.
Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.
Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned residents.
Initiates a resident education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or facility policy including resident and family instruction.
Participates in department or unit quality improvement activities.
Documents in AOD electronic patient medical record system via kiosk every shift.
Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS


RN supervisory experience or equivalent experience specifically in a skilled healthcare or long-term care center is strongly preferred
Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
Would consider an LPN Resource Nurse for this role. Position would require prior supervisory experience and licensed as an LPN in the state of North Carolina.

SHIFTS
One Full Time Opening available:


3:00PM - 11:30PM OR 11:00AM - 7:30PM - Full Time


Work schedule is M-F with periodic on-call rotation; exempt role (Full Time) for RN.
