healthcare.We are currently seeking a Senior Research Health
Economist to design and implement health economic models to
understand and demonstrate the value of healthcare interventions
including but not limited to new clinical programs and models of
care. Also assess benefits, risks, and the economic consequences
associated with those healthcare interventions. The typical
projects include health economic modeling to conduct
cost-effectiveness analyses of healthcare interventions and
implementing decision-analytic models (e.g., decision trees, Markov
modeling), health services research, health economics and outcomes
research and population health data analytics. In this role you
will be using a variety of real-world data, including but not
limited to administrative claims, clinical data from electronic
health records (EHR), registry data, provider data, consumer data,
primary data collected from patients, providers and other
stakeholders, as well as data from publicly available sources. You
will be working closely with research consultants, other research
scientists and analysts, as well as subject matter experts, to
deliver top quality results and insights to healthcare payers and
providers who constitute our main clients.You will be an integral
member of the Strategic Evidence Generation practice area within
RTI-Health Advance, where you'll be collaborating with colleagues
from other practice areas within our division and across RTI
International. Your expertise will be instrumental in generating
rigorous evidence that will enable healthcare payers, including
health insurance plans and large employers, healthcare providers
and other healthcare stakeholders to make informed decisions, and
to advance healthcare for all.Your primary responsibilities will
include, but not be limited to: Performs mostly quantitative
economic research activities of various degrees of technical
complexity. Utilizes microeconomic principles in analyzing the
economic benefits public programs and policies. Conducts
conceptualization, design and implementation of health economic
models to conduct cost-effectiveness, cost-consequence and budget
impact analyses of healthcare interventions. Conducts industry and
topic area literature reviews. Participate in data integration,
data cleaning, descriptive analyses, exploratory analyses, and
economic modeling tasks. Lead in implementing models and
simulations using a variety of software and tools. Collaborate with
a team of computer scientists, programmers, statisticians, and
subject matter experts to solve problems using data science
approaches, techniques, and methods. Access and analyze data from a
variety of sources. Develop data visualizations and clearly display
results. Prepare and deliver presentations and written reports for
internal and external clients as well as scientific journals and
other publications. Participate in business development and
marketing activities as directed by leadership. Participate in
appropriate professional development and scientific stature
efforts. Mentor junior staff. Lead the development of business
proposals to prospective clients and work cross functionally to
ensure high quality deliverables to our clients. Actively
participate in preparing reports, synthesizing analytical results,
and highlighting implications of findings for different audiences.
Develop papers and presentations and represent RTI at conferences
and professional meetings.To be successful in this role, you will
have demonstrated experience: Designing and implementing health
economics, financial analysis, and quantitative policy analysis
such as complex financial modeling, return on investment,
cost-effective analysis, cost-benefit analysis, budget impact,
burden of illness studies. Working in a matrixed environment and
handling multiple projects at a time. Leading and supervising
multiple complex projects including preparing reports, synthesizing
analytical results, and highlighting implications of findings to
different audiences. Collaborating and communicating, both
internally across business functions and externally with our

401K.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative social
science field such as economics, health economics, health services
research, biostatistics, or a relevant discipline and 15 years of
related experience, or a Master's degree and 12 years of related
experience, or PhD and 8 years of related experience. 8+ years of
directly related work experience within the healthcare industry
Demonstrated experience conducting health economic modeling using
software such as SAS, Stata, Excel or other appropriate ones.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with others to
incorporate and enhance technical capital outside area of primary
expertise. Critical and strategic thinking; able to identify issues
and opportunities, provide solutions and reach consensus with
multiple stakeholders. Excellent oral and written communication
skills and proven ability to interact with a diverse and
cross-cultural candidate and client population. Demonstrated
expertise of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel Ability to travel
to domestic locations when and as needed, and in accordance with
RTI Covid travel protocol. Applicants must be legally authorized to

future, sponsorship for employment visa The anticipated pay range
for this role is $140,000.00-$180,000.00.. Our pay ranges represent
national averages and may vary by location as a geographic
differential may be applied to some locations within the United
States.RTI considers multiple factors when making an offer

possessed by the applicant. Further, salary is merely one element
