DGDHSC is seeking a Clinical Dietician to support the center delivering behavioral interventions in research studies.---- --Conduct and implement comprehensive nutritional assessment for patients at nutritional risk; interpret biochemical and clinical data and screen, identify and monitor patients at nutritional risk; provide a variety of nutritional therapy intervention methods to resolve nutritional crisis and to ensure health maintenance.--SupervisorThis position reports to the Research Practice Manager for the School of Nursing, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Principal Investigator, Dori Steinberg, PhD.--Work PerformedDevelop and implement individualized dietary care plans utilizing nutritional assessment methodology to include planning individualized menus and calculating and planning modified diets to meet nutritional and psychological needs, ensuring conformance to physician's orders and high standards of food quality. Interview patients and review medical and dietary history to determine food preferences and dietary habits and to assess nutritional needs; correlate information with patient's medical progress and plan meal patterns for the patient; make appropriate notations and recommendations on the patient's chart.--Evaluate effectiveness of dietary care plan in relation to patient's medical progress and modify or revise dietary care plan as required; prepare and maintain various records and reports pertaining to dietary services provided.----------------------------- Deliver behavioral interventions to participants in the context of a research study. --------------------------- Perform a variety of duties involved in the collection, compilation, documentation, and interpretation of behavioral intervention and research data. --------------------------- Follow intervention protocols by conducting tasks such as coaching or counseling, training, or delivering workshops. --------------------------- Document delivery of the intervention according to protocol and study's Standard Operating Procedures. --------------------------- Assist in the development and design of intervention materials and treatment manuals, and mentor junior staff in intervention delivery. --------------------------- Participate in the ongoing evaluation of behavioral research intervention delivery and adherence.--Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
