The Private Diagnostic Clinic (PDC)is the faculty physician

Perform routine administrative and patient care supportive duties
in a Health System medical practice to assist medical staff in the
examination and treatment of patients and ensure the office runs
1.--Perform intake with patients to include vital signs, visit
information, and other clinical information as indicated.
2.--Administer medications to patients as ordered by providers or
by established protocols following the six rights of medication
3.--Assist providers with in-office procedures.
4.--Perform point-of-care testing per established protocols.
5.--Float in clinic to cover patient and provider needs as
delegated by nurse manager or health center administrator.
6.--Maintain clinical environment to meet JCAHO and OSHA
7.--Perform NSTs and report findings to provider.
8.--Perform New OB Nurse visits.
9.--Perform all Triage related tasks when assigned to that area
including but not limited to processing inbasket requests, entering
orders, answering triage calls, and coordinating care for
10.--Act at team lead, coordinating care within the department.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-----Knowledge of GYN procedures.
-----Knowledge of OB standards of care.
-----Excellent computer skills
-----Excellent customer service skills.
Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's
Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or
higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program
within two years of their start date and to complete the program
within five years of their start date
Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience is required. At a
manager's discretion, employees with 6 months of experience who are
exceptional performers may be eligible for this level.
Experience in an OB/GYN practice, Labor and Delivery Unit or
postpartum unit preferred.--
Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North
Carolina. BLS required.
Must be able to work under time pressures in a busy clinic/office
Must be present on site for 9 hour shifts during standard business
Must participate in group activities requiring interpersonal skills
Must work as late person when scheduled or according to business
Must be able to react quickly and immediately respond to
Must travel between locations on needed basis.
Must be able to handle multiple assignments, conflicting demands &
Must maintain attention to detail over extended period of time.
Must be continually aware of variations in changing situations.
Must be able to move throughout office environment throughout
Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
Must be able to stand/walk for the majority of an 8 hour shift.
Must be able to push/pull 25 lbs.
Must be able to carry 25 lbs.
