Position Description:

Accelerates development velocity to write code, using JAVA, Python, Spring Boot, SQL, MyBatis, REST Assured, Eclipe, and Pycharm. Performs frictionless test automation and generic test data validations, using end-to-end automation framework, predictive analytics, and Machine Learning (ML). Enables the development team to release products into production by working on test strategies and implementing key technical solutions to quality engineering. Assists with planning, designing, and executing testing within a complex project.

Primary Responsibilities:

Creates test plans, data, procedures, and manual and/or automated scripts.

Participates in formal reviews of application designs, business, and functional requirements.

Participates in code reviews.

Writes complete and accurate reports on software problems.

Identifies and suggests quality process improvements focused on defect prevention.

Creates systems and business relevant test cases.

Ensures test environment reflects business requirements for test execution.

Assists in development of in-house test tools.

Executes manual and/or automated test scripts for most complex projects.

Works with project team to establish testing entrance and exit criteria.

Ensures execution of project regression test tasks.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works directly with the user community for project definition.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Recommends strategies and methods to improve test plans and test processes.

Analyzes and reports test status and results.

Identifies test issues and reports to project manager and business.

Defines regression tests, and production verification and validation for future projects.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science. Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience developing automation scripts and testing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) using Java, TestNG and Postman.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience developing automation scripts and testing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) using Java, TestNG and Postman.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing functional testing and maintaining a regression suites using tools (Eclipse, PyCharm, PostgreSql, and GIT), frameworks (SpringBoot, RestAssured, and Cucumber), and languages (Java, Python, and JavaScript); and performing integration within a customized framework and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using AWS CodePipeline.

DE performing quality assurance testing of APIs using Java frameworks, Cucumber, RestAssured, TestNG, POSTMAN, and Python; analyzing Agile JIRA stories; creating test cases in JIRA; executing test cases on POSTMAN; creating defects and reports using JIRA-Xray; performing version control using Git Stash; maintaining release notes and documentation using JIRA; and performing story tracking using JIRA.

DE testing APIs and REST Web services using REST Assured and POSTMAN; generating custom regression reports to validate requests and API responses for JSON content using Python frameworks, Pandas, and Numpy; and parsing custom data structures (JSON) using Java and Python code.

DE building and maintaining data mining scripts and SQL queries using DBeaver; and validating data by writing SQL queries to support business requirements and provide services to end users on PostgreSQL database.
