Job Description:
Position Description: Builds, tests, and engineers Web applications, using Angular,
Nodejs, and REST Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
Defines, maintains, and supports Java and NodeJS development
environments, and best practices using Open Source tools -- Maven
and Sonar. Performs code reviews, unit testing, and integration
testing using Open-Source Frameworks. Configuring Apache Web
Servers to use corporate security infrastructure. Configures
routers to support optimal deployment strategies. Designs and
develops applications using Test Driven Development (TDD)
methodologies and Junit, Cucumber, and Postman. Uses business
knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into
business solutions by developing complex or multiple software
applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and
recommends changes in project development policies, procedures,
standards, and strategies to development experts and
management. Primary Responsibilities: Participates in architecture design teams. Defines and implements application level architecture. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and
subsystems for the division. Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and
reviews and validates test plans. Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
or subsystems. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects
across multiple platforms. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for
projects. Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for
multiple projects. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various
project/technology issues. Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical
evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Mentors junior team members. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered
or five (5) years of experience developing Web applications in a
financial investment domain. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science,
Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience developing Web applications in a financial investment
domain. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing dynamic responsive
cloud-based web applications using Angular, NodeJs, HTML, CSS,
Typescript, VS Code, and Agile methodology. DE developing web applications using Java/J2EE, Spring MVC,
Spring Core, Spring Boot framework, jQuery, backboneJs, and IDE
tools (Spring Tool Suite and Eclipse); designing system diagrams
using UML; and running application on servers, using Apache
Tomcat. DE configuring Apache Web Server and router to ensure Web
application security and efficiency as per enterprise architecture
standards. DE performing application build and deployment using Continuous
Integration and Delivery tools Git, Maven, Jenkins, Docker,
Artifactory, Sonar, Veracode, and IBM uDeploy, using Splunk
alerting and reporting; performing quality assurance testing of
software systems to ensure their reliability and performance by
conducting unit and integration testing, using Junit, Cucumber, and
