***Multiple Positions Available*** Develops and tests accessible and responsive User Interface (UI)
applications, using Angular, NgRx, and TypeScript. Performs full
stack Java development. Develops GUI/API QA automation, using
Serenity Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Selenium. Develops
and supports data ingestion services using MQ/Kafka technology.
Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional
initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or
multiple software applications and conducting studies of
alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project
development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to
development experts and management. . Primary Responsibilities: Participates in architecture design teams. Defines and implements application level architecture. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and
subsystems for the division. Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and
reviews and validates test plans. Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
or subsystems. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects
across multiple platforms. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for
projects. Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for
multiple projects. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various
project/technology issues. Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical
evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Mentors junior team members. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years
of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
designing, developing, and testing highly scaled, secure Web
applications in UNIX and Linux environments. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered
or three (3) years of experience designing, developing, and testing
highly scaled, secure Web applications in UNIX and Linux
environments. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) acting as a member of a full-stack
engineering team -- designing, developing, and testing highly
scaled, secure Web applications, using Java, J2EE, and Web services
(SOAP and RESTful); performing distributed Object-oriented design,
using Microservices design patterns, Spring boot framework, IDE
toolset (Eclipse and STS), Bitbucket, and Maven; and performing
Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) in UNIX
and Linux Virtual environments, using Jenkins, Artifactory, and
uDeploy. DE developing multi-threaded middle-tier applications, using
Java 8+, Spring, and JPA/Hibernate framework; performing
application build, deployment, and support using CI tools --
Jenkins, Ant, and Maven; performing configuration management using
version control software; and performing Test-Driven Development
(TDD), using Unit/JUnit testing techniques, Veracode, and
SONAR. DE building, deploying, and running secure Cloud-native
applications using AWS core services -- EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and
API gateway; building, deploying, and running Cloud container
platforms, using Docker and ECS; building scalable messaging
applications, using Identity Access Management (AWS-IAM) and Kafka;
performing configuration management using Cloud Formation; and
building log aggregating dashboards, using AWS CloudWatch and
Datadog. DE designing, developing, and testing large, high-volume, highly
available, fault tolerant real-time market data processing,
analytics, and reporting for financial applications, using FIX 4.4+
connectivity, Catalyst engine, NoSQL database, Redis, and KDB;
performing automated testing using Verifix; performing data
engineering, using Oracle SQL and PLSQL; developing secure
applications within an Agile environment -- Scrum, XP, and Kanban
-- using TLS and SSL security; and creating API documentation using
