Job Description:
Position Description: Leads software development teams that deliver mobile front-end
Web applications. Designs, develops, implements, and supports Web,
mobile, and internet products and services. Performs full lifecycle
product development and program management -- scoping and
estimating efforts, resource planning, communications, delivery,
and production support. Manages an Agile team and maintains
accountability for integrated software deliveries. Works with
technology and business partners to provide strategic input into
the long-term direction and technology roadmap. Draws on in-depth
knowledge of the business or function to provide business unit-wide
solutions. Primary Responsibilities: Consults with users, management, vendors, and technicians to
assess computing needs and system requirements. Engages with stakeholders to monitor and share progress. Executes decisions that impact business results with guidance
from leaders. Implements informed trade-off decisions to strike a balance
between quality, cost, and timelines. Consults on development and delivery of major technology
initiatives for the business unit. Consults on deployment of major project deliverables. Consults on the documentation of major technology
application. Oversees the technical implementation of cross-divisional
components. Initiates and drives project or strategy discussions with users
or external groups to resolve issues. Sets vision, goals, and direction of team/organization. Plans and leads organization-wide initiatives. Provides leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to
multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex
organization-wide projects. Defines, refines, and communicates the teams mission and
technology roadmap to motivate and build team and partner support
and alignment. Inspects and evaluates progress and removes impediments. Reviews project plans to plan and coordinate project
activity. Assigns and reviews the work of systems analysts and
programmers. Prepares and reviews operational reports and project progress
reports. Regularly provides guidance, training, and coaching to other
team members for performance and career development. Performs hiring, performance assessments, and technical
mentoring for development teams. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and six (6) years
of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience
performing systems analysis and product management in a financial
services domain -- stock plan services products. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered
or four (4) years of experience performing systems analysis and
product management in a financial services domain -- stock plan
services products. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) analyzing the integration of content
management, using SDL Tridion and REST APIs with Web-based
transaction processing applications; supporting the full Web
application development lifecycle -- Continuous
Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) -- using Git/Stash, JIRA,
Jenkins, DevOps, and uDeploy; and employing a collaborative
approach to gain consensus and support for digital platforms --
stock plan services product needs. DE defining roadmaps, product visions, and work alignment for a
Scrum team using Agile framework; managing production incidents,
participating in incident/crisis management to assess business
impact, and determining root cause/facilitating workarounds;
analyzing organizational dynamics and adapting proposals to
effectively navigate constraints; and defining logical
relationships among key architectural components, while analyzing
and revising existing systems logic. DE providing technical direction to technical teams for Web
development; providing full Agile life cycle product development
and program management -- scoping and estimating efforts, resource
planning and communication, and delivery and production support;
and assessing the performance of team members and providing
developmental opportunities for associates and coaching team
members to achieve success. DE performing Agile program development in digital platforms
(stock plan services), team assessment and release
interdependencies, maintaining/reviewing Agile metrics burndown,
epic and release breakdown, and ensuring the team follows values
and practices of SCRUM; providing guidance for members of
development teams and facilitating issue resolution to enable
resources to meet their goals; and advising on risk assessment and
